Ingredients
- ¼ cup cold pressed mustard oil or toasted sesame oil
- 1 cup semolina
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon cardamom powder
- 2 cups water
- 2 tablespoon thinly sliced almonds for garnish
Method
- Heat oil in a pan (on high heat) and add the semolina
- Fry the semolina until it starts to lightly brown.
- Be careful to stir often, so as not to let it burn.
- Add in honey and cardamom powder, and fry for a few minutes till the honey starts to melt.
- Add the water slowly and continue to stir till all the water dries up and starts to form a thicker consistency.
- Optionally add sliced almonds, serve and eat!
